Two friends texting, talking about something else.
Friend 1 texts randomly
1: BIGYAN MO NGA AKO NG ALARM CLOCK FOR CHRISTMAS
Friend 2 ignores that part of the message and replies only to the other stuff they were talking about.

After a long while...
Two friends eating somewhere.
1: BIGYAN MO NA NGA SABI AKO NG ALARM CLOCK FOR CHRISTMAS.
2: Hindi ako nagbibigay ng Christmas gifts sa friends. Kaya, NO.

1 never dropped her plea for an alarm clock because she really really needs it because she sleeps super kaduper late at night. She pleads every time they talk. As in EVERY TIME. 2 says NO every time as in EVERY TIME also.

Two days before Christmas...
The two friends went out to do something. 1 pleaded 2 to do it even if he didn't like it. Because 1 really wanted to do it. Turned out that 1 didn't enjoy also. Hahaha.

2: Consider ko na sana na bigyan ka ng alarm clock, kaso ang pangit talaga nung *insert activity here*. Kaya yung sacrifice ko na yung gift ko sa'yo.
"Unfair!" na lang ang nasabi ni 1 kasi pangit talaga e.

Christmas Day...
1 greets 2.
2 greets 1. At the end of the message, 2 apologizes for not giving 1 an alarm clock. *followed by a hehehe*
1 accepts that she won't get her damn alarm clock for Christmas.

After Christmas, the two friends went out with their other friends. When they were about to go home, 2 asked 1 if she woke up early that morning. It's weird that 2 made that kind of random small talk.

2: Nagising ka naman nang maaga?
1: Nagising ako pero hindi maaga. Kasi naka-snooze yung phone ko every 10 minutes at nakailang snooze ako. Hahaha.
2: Ang alarm clock kaya isang beses lang mag-ring.
1: *defends her need* Ilalagay ko sa malayo yung alarm clock para bumangon talaga ako.
2: *laughs* Sige na nga ibibigay ko na nga sayo bukas.
1: *did not get anything that 2 said* Ang alin?
2: *smiles* Yung alarm clock mo.
1: *Super kaduper surprised as in soooper nakamove on na kasi na wala talaga tapos meron pala kind of surprised* BINILHAN MO AKO NG ALARM CLOCK?
2: Oo. Ang tagal-tagal na nun nasa akin e.
1: As in before pa nung *insert activity 2 days before Christmas*?
2: Oo. Ikaw kasi e, nag-eexpect ka kaya pinatagal ko pa bago ko ibigay sayo.
1: Huh? *disbelief* So kailan mo yun binili?
2: Pagkasabi mo na gusto mo ng alarm clock for Christmas.

*1 passed 2's test and died*

1's Realization: Surprises are happiest when you don't expect a single thing.

1 thanks 2 with all her life.

And btw, it's her resolution not to oversleep.
